FACHIC Supports Community with Free Social Work Consultations PDF Print E-mail

Drawing focus from its mission to improve the health status of the Filipino community, the Filipino American Community Health Initiative in Chicago (FACHIC) is again offering seniors and their families social work consultations free of charge.  Consultations are held by an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker who can provide information in the following areas:  housing, home safety modifications, tax breaks for seniors, social programming, prescription medication, Medicare/Medicaid, medical referrals, estate planning, social programming, and Social Security/Public Aid.  

Drop-in consultations are held on a rotating basis between the Jose Rizal Heritage Center during its monthly food pantry distribution (1332 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago), Pilipino American Social Services (PASS) (1551 W. Irving Park Rd., #1, Chicago) and the Levy Center where the Filipino American Grandparents Association of Chicago (FAGPAC) meet (2019 W.
