The Filipino American Community Health Initiative of Chicago (FACHIC) will be hosting the first annual Filipino Community Health Forum in October 2010 as part of Filipino American History Month!

At the Forum, we will be sharing the results of our Filipino American Senior Health Assessment, a community health survey, in a open townhall meeting for all members of the Filipino American community.  This will also be an opportunity for Filipino and Filipino Americans in the Chicago area to voice their health concerns and insights.

FACHIC and the Community Health Forum committee are looking for volunteers to help plan the Forum during the upcoming months.

We are having a volunteer information meeting on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 7 - 8 PM at the Starbucks located at 2200 N. Clybourn. At the meeting, we will be talking about the forum and the tasks we will be needing help in, including logistics, marketing, etc.  We will also be discussing the schedule for planning meetings.  We may hold this meeting via conference call if necessary.

Our goal is to make the Filipino Community Health Forum an unifying, empowering and educational event.  Please consider contributing your skills and time!  No health background necessary.
