Passport to the Philippines Volunteer Information Meeting Print
Wednesday, 05 May 2010 13:33
The Chicago Children’s Museum at Navy Pier will be hosting Passport to the World: The Philippines on June 10, 12, and 13, 2010.  Local community groups and residents are working together to present Filipino music, dance, art, food, and games for museum visitors.

The Filipino American Community Health Initiative of Chicago (FACHIC) and Passport to the Philippines Planning Committee are looking for volunteers for this year’s event.  We are having a volunteer info meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 6-7 pm at Isla Filipina (2501 W Lawrence Ave, 2 blocks from Western Ave CTA Brown Line stop).

At the meeting, we will be talking about the different fun activities and tasks that we need help in, such as demonstrating Filipino games, making Halo-halo, etc.  We will also be discussing about schedules, free transportation to Navy Pier, and volunteer incentives.
